Shafian Rahman
Shafian specializes in public affairs, research, and regulatory affairs, and he works with clients across a range of industries, including the energy sector.
Shafian’s work entails developing in-depth research products such as background and political research memos, competitor analysis, geopolitical analysis, and power mapping. His work with clients has included supporting energy clients in their efforts to establish a clean, renewable energy future; developing stakeholder databases of influencers for clients to guide their public outreach efforts and aid in social media targeting opportunities; and completing a 50-state risk assessment to drive a company’s business development strategy.
Before joining Kivvit, Shafian was an intern for the New York City Fire Department’s Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs Bureau, which entailed communicating with elected officials, attending events, and responding to queries by elected officials. He also worked as an intern in the intergovernmental affairs division of the office of the New York attorney general, as well as assisting with constituent affairs for U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
Shafian was born and raised in New York City, and he now lives in Queens.
