Paloma Perez

Paloma provides strategic counsel to clients on the development and execution of digital advertising, media relations and public affairs campaigns. She’s worked with biotech start-ups, major universities, and national security firms.

Prior to joining Kivvit, Paloma served as the Communications Director for Congresswoman Xochitl Torres Small of New Mexico and Deputy Communications Director for Congressman Marc Veasey of Texas. In both roles, she counseled her principals in the most effective traditional and digital strategies to raise their profiles as leaders on healthcare, economic development, and immigration and border security policy. In between stints on Capitol Hill, Paloma was domestic policy communications associate for a strategic communications firm where she provided wide-ranging communications support for some of the most pressing issues facing U.S. children nationwide including: social-emotional and trauma-informed education integration, childhood obesity prevention and Culture of Health shaping initiatives spearheaded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and its grantees. Her main areas of focus were media relations, policy monitoring and support, Spanish and U.S. Latinx media strategy and editorial/digital content development.

Paloma earned her B.A. in Political Science and Educational Studies with high honors from Swarthmore College. Paloma is a native of Dripping Springs, Texas where she cultivated a love of nature, Tex-Mex and an appreciation for the fusion of cultures that characterized her upbringing as the daughter of Mexican and Peruvian immigrants.
