Pakhi Kane

Pakhi has over 15 years of experience within the government, private, and nonprofit sectors of New York City, giving her an extensive understanding of the city and state’s political landscape. She is extremely well-versed in the areas of government operations, health and human services public policy, intergovernmental affairs, communications, and project management.

Before joining Kivvit, Pakhi worked within both sides of City Hall at the New York City Council as well as the Office of the Mayor. In these roles, she was closely involved in the rollout of critical initiatives expanding early care and education for children and families, as well as life-saving services for older adults. Pakhi was also the former vice president of nonprofits at Kasirer, where she provided key legislative and budgetary strategy to leading nonprofits that were seeking support and partnership with government. In her most recent executive leadership role within the nonprofit sector, she elevated and supported strategic priorities related to addressing city-wide food insecurity, public housing issues, and recovery from the public health crisis.

Pakhi is a proud mother and Indian immigrant, and she speaks fluent Bengali. Along with her husband and dynamic five-year-old son, she enjoys being an active community member in East Harlem.
