Mackenzie Shutler

Mackenzie helps clients achieve their goals by creating comprehensive communications campaigns that weave together public affairs, social media, digital advertising, video storytelling and media relations.

Prior to joining Kivvit, Mackenzie managed digital strategy, stakeholder outreach and media relations at the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), an independent federal grant-making agency. While at NEH, she coordinated digital and media campaigns with the White House, Smithsonian, PBS, and higher education institutions. Mackenzie helped the agency organically grow its digital following by over 50% and worked with grantees across the country to amplify their communications efforts by creating a communications toolkit. In 2014, she worked as a press intern on the successful Mark Warner for Senate re-election campaign in Virginia.

Mackenzie graduated with a B.A. in political science from American University in Washington, D.C. She is originally from Southern California, volunteers at N Street Village and plays in three softball leagues.
