Kent Holland
Kent specializes in campaign management, corporate reputation work, crisis communications, executive positioning, media relations, and digital advertising. He works with a range of clients across sectors and leads Kivvit’s Technology, Life Sciences, Financial Services, and Higher Education practices. His former and current clients include Fortune 100 corporations, leading tech companies, startups, VC firms, banks, and Ivy League institutions.
Drawing upon his decades of experience working in media relations, Kent leads messaging and content development efforts, and directs integrated communications and advertising strategies. He has helped scores of clients mitigate risks, improve their reputations, and extend their brand to the stakeholders who matter the most via high-level media relations and precisely targeted digital advertising campaigns.
Prior to joining Kivvit, Kent ran his own agency for 15 years, opening the firm’s San Francisco office during the first tech boom and after that the organization’s office in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, he worked as a book publicist for Random House representing several New York Times–bestselling authors (including Donald Trump, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and his mother Martha Grimes and her Richard Jury mystery series) while booking hundreds of national broadcast and print media interviews. Transitioning to agency work, Kent developed relationships with high-profile media clients including Condé Nast, Hearst, Meredith, Ziff Davis, Red Herring, Technology Review, The Deal, and others. He has won several Bulldog awards for his media relations work and has written many thought leadership pieces.
Kent has two sons and is from Washington, D.C., where he lives today. He is an author, Ultimate Frisbee player, history buff, cinephile and bibliophile, and a jazz enthusiast.
