Eric Herman
An award-winning veteran of several large-scale national campaigns, Eric specializes in crisis and litigation communications, media relations, thought leadership, message development, labor and employment-related communications, executive positioning, and public advocacy campaigns. He has led media and advocacy work in a wide range of business sectors, including automotive, entertainment, financial services, health care, hospitality, infrastructure, semiconductors, and transportation.
Since joining Kivvit, Eric has counseled Fortune 500 companies, law firms, prominent individuals, and nonprofits on sensitive communications issues.
Eric joined Kivvit from Burson-Marsteller, where he was a director in the Public Affairs practice. He worked for two decades as a news reporter, including stints at the Chicago Sun-Times, the New York Daily News, and The American Lawyer. He spent much of his career as a courts and legal affairs reporter, covering murder trials, celebrity cases, and corporate takeover battles. While at the Daily News, he covered the September 11 attacks and subsequent efforts to rebuild Lower Manhattan.
Eric grew up in Los Angeles and in Evanston, Illinois, where he now lives with his three sons, a dog, and a growing collection of jazz LPs.
