DeJoiry McKenzie-Simmons
DeJoiry specializes in campaign management, issue advocacy, policy analysis, messaging, and strategic communications. Utilizing his political and coalition-building experience, DeJoiry works primarily in stakeholder outreach, overseeing messaging and content curation, and developing integrated communications and advertising strategies.
Before Kivvit, DeJoiry served as a legislative aide for Michigan U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, managing education, tech, labor, and workforce policy. In addition, he served as a member of NAACP’s National Board of Directors, and he led organizing efforts to elect the organization’s first national officer under the age of 25.
DeJoiry is a native of St. Peter, Barbados, and he grew up in Saginaw, Michigan. He currently lives in Washington, D.C.
