Christie specializes in media relations, message development and digital strategy.

Prior to joining Kivvit, Christie served as assistant press secretary and digital communications manager for Illinois State Comptroller Susana A. Mendoza. She also worked on the Anti-Harassment, Equality and Access (AHEA) panel with Comptroller Mendoza, State Sen. Melinda Bush and State Rep. Carol Ammons. The panel’s objectives were to craft policies to prevent sexual harassment on political campaigns and to advance greater numbers of women in Illinois politics and government. Christie knows her way around the legislative process in Springfield and has experience working with members of the Illinois General Assembly and key stakeholders to pass legislation.

Christie earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from DePaul University and is currently taking graphic design courses at the Art Institute of Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, training for marathons, scouting out new coffee shops around the city and helping great people get involved in public service.
