Bryan DeAngelis

Bryan is a public affairs specialist and a veteran of Capitol Hill, presidential, gubernatorial and congressional campaigns. His expertise lies in crisis communications, public-policy advocacy, risk and issue management, earned and social media, coalition building and stakeholder persuasion. Bryan is a member of Kivvit’s issues management and litigation, higher education and sports practices.

Prior to joining Kivvit, Bryan served as the communications director and chief spokesperson for Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT). As one of Dodd’s primary advisors, he managed and executed the communications plans around congressional consideration of the Affordable Care Act and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, as well as several other high-profile national issues. Bryan also served as a communications director for both Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign and Sen. Dodd’s presidential campaign. He began his career in Massachusetts working for then-Congressman Martin Meehan and on former Massachusetts Attorney General Tom Reilly’s gubernatorial campaign.

Bryan is a graduate of Boston College. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and its National Capitol Chapter. Bryan also serves on the Board of Directors of the Shade Foundation of America. He lives in Virginia with his wife and three children.
