Kivvit Hires Miami Communications Director Eugene Ramirez
National public affairs and communications firm Kivvit announces Eugene Ramirez will join the Miami office as Director on January 7th. Ramirez, an award-winning journalist, is currently the City of Miami’s Director of Communications.
“Eugene’s experience in news and government combined with his expertise in digital media will be a valuable addition to our Miami office as we serve our growing number of clients in Florida,” said Managing Partner Eric Sedler.
At the City of Miami, Ramirez’s work leading the creation of original digital-first content was featured by Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Government Innovation Blog as one of ‘four strategies that are defining the future of city communication.” Ramirez was at the helm of the Office of Communications when the city advanced important policies and he provided strategic communications counsel to a first-term administration.
Ramirez previously spent more than a decade as an award-winning reporter and anchor in Miami, Tampa and Orlando, while also contributing to major cable news networks. He also worked as a media relations manager for Macy’s, serving as lead on branding and diversity, and as Spanish-language spokesperson on national television.
