Max Bever brings award-winning experience in public and media relations to Kivvit. Max has worked on large-scale campaigns including: executing media and community outreach for Illinois Unites for Marriage; establishing a crisis management plan for a major news network; assisting in the launch of media incubator Stage 18 for Cinespace Chicago Film Studios; creating videos for Google; and designing creative reports for Choose Chicago.
Before joining Kivvit, Max served as the director of communications for Chicago Alderman Tom Tunney. In this role, he acted as 44th Ward spokesman and worked closely on several public affairs initiatives, including the Legacy Walk, the Rink at Wrigley with the Chicago Cubs, and the Lakefront Revetment Project with the Army Corp of Engineers. Prior to that, Max worked as a press aide in the Illinois governor’s office where he advised senior communications staff on media messaging and outreach. He is also campaign-trained with the Victory Fund Leadership Institute and a published playwright.
Max graduated with honors from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Political Science and English and earned his Master of Science in Communication at Northwestern University. Max lives in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood with his partner Michael.
